So, a second month passed since my arrival in Aachen. The city is still here, no alien attacks happened recently…
At work:Good! I am getting used to Magento framework (wohoo… after 2 months!) and I don’t feel like a European, randomly thrown in the jungle anymore. The company registered me for an exam in May 2014 for certification as Magento developer, so I have no other choice, but to get better and better.
I can’t really specify what a single project I am working on is like, because I work simultaneously on 3 projects (depending on when there is something to do/add/fix in one of those projects). But right now, the major thing, that my workload is focused on, is developing an automatic importing/exporting module for products for a web-shop.
The staff in the canteen, where we go to eat at work, already knows me and they put the potatoes to fry as soon as they see me from afar, because the pre-ready portions are not enough for me and I have to take something additional every time…
I trained them! haha

Not at work, but with the work:
Some weeks ago, on a Friday, we had an evening out with the whole office. First we went to indoor rock-climbing and then to a restaurant. The climbing was great, as we got thorough explanations and training before we start and then a lot of climbing… woh, I got my body full with adrenalin! (one of the instructors was smokin’ hot btw…). Afterwards in the restaurant… damn, I love when someone else is paying for the food! I got stuffed!

Finally, life out of work:Life continues to be awesome! This and last weekend I tried to have a calm, alone and happy resting weekend. Didn’t happen! The first of those 2 weekends I went on a Forro dance party (I mentioned this dance in my previous post) and was just about to go home, when we went to an awesome pub with classy, ever-green music. Then, I was just about to go home (again), when we went to a club. No more details for you guys, but I came home at 8 am and don’t remember much. Btw, Romanians keep amusing me.. crazy people!
Oh, I forgot to tell you about Amsterdam… well, I won’t, cuz what happened there – stays there!
I also tried the German high-ways… 190 km/h with a VW Golf is quite fun. Next time – 200!
