Soon is going to end this 1 year journey… Boy, that was one hell of a good ride! So much professional experience boost, so many life lessons, mucho new friends and couches to crash on around Europe, in future. But lets get back to what happened in the time after my last post…
As I was on a “week of work – week of traveling” streak, I continued the “week of work” but changed it to “two weeks of traveling”. Going to Moscow was actually not that much of traveling, as of stuffing myself with food, playing the role of a nanny and family time in general. Not haven’t seen my relatives in Moscow for about 2 years and going there for a short period of 10 days was quite tough, considering the fact that I’ve got tons of close relatives there – to visit everyone is quite time consuming.
Interesting – while I was there, I found out that I am really growing up and turning into an adult… I finally don’t get irritated and frustrated from little kids.
As I spent lots of time with the little kids of my cousins and uncles, I got accustomed to playing with those weird little creatures, hanging out and so on. I also remembered my teenage years of over-whelming myself with food, when there was an all-inclusive restaurant somewhere. With the little difference that the “restaurant” here was my aunt.
Too bad, though, that now I gotta hit the gym…
You might think that I went around the majestic city of Moscow and visited all the sight-seeings. Yeah, but no… What I did instead was spend days and long nights of drinking tea and talking with my bros and sis’es there. Some friends of mine even got a bit offended that I didn’t bring them a Matrioshka or any other typical Russian stuff. But, hey, I didn’t even go to downtown. I barely got out of the apartment.
So, if you wanna visit Moscow – don’t go with/ask me!

Now, coming back to Aachen was just about one more month of work. Simeon was about to leave so we made together a farewell party for us two. Turned out 2 of our friends had Bdays that weekend, so it became a Quadruple party. Woah, the place was crowded… damn nice party! But I got a bit disappointed from the students in Aachen. When the alcohol was over the party started to decline… come one people, is alcohol your only entertainment?
And soon enough, it was time for something legen… wait for it… daaaary! Yes, yes, I am talking about Woodstock. This is simultaneously the most random and really crazy experience in my life so far – Woodstock. That sh*t is THE real deal! A bit dirty – yes; kind’a trashy – yes; weird looking people – oh, yes baby!; going nuts – yes; doing bullshit and weird stuff – yes; being bored even for a minute – no; meet random people with whom you hang out for the next couple of days doing crazy and stupid stuff – yes; roll in the mud and wrestle with people – ooooh yeeesss! If you are the type of “ewww, there is no hot shower” person – don’t go! And we won’t even need you there! This festival is all about being open-minded, enjoying the simple way of life… just being completely careless about limitations, shyness, people’s differences and so on. There were drunks, and “smokers” but there was no violance at all. I didn’t see even one conflict for 4 days, and there are over half a million visitors. Everybody is super friendly and talkative. You can even learn some life lessons by visiting Woodstock. And a really important one is – be yourself, no matter how weird you are, and just enjoy… Definitely going to visit this festival again in future!
Woah, it seems a bit like I was listing just bad stuff about Woodstock. I guess it is because most people, that I talked about it with, were throwing “hippie and trashy” comments about it. It is camping with friends, drinking some (lots of) beers, meeting amazing random people, enjoying music that you probably don’t even listen to, usually. The positive and good vibe is all around the air! And it is for free!
After-movie will follow on facebook.

With this event I concluded my 3rd in a row year of intensive traveling. Now, just 2 more weeks of work and then going back to my sweet Bulgaria to hug my lovely mountains, tease my cats, eat delicous food and so on… you know.
